Chamomile-Pomegranate Tea Makes Great Remedy for Common Cold

Combining the sweet flavors of this herbal tea recipe will benefit both mind and body for the cold season ahead. Herbal teas are a delicious way to get some extra nutrients into your system. Chamomile flowers have a naturally sweet taste with a hint of apple flavor. Chamomile is an herb is known to be used as a soothing and relaxing herb. The pomegranate taste adds a unique, pleasant flavor and a rich source of antioxidants.

INGREDIENTS Small pot of boiling hot water ½ teaspoon of table salt ½ lime/lemon wedge 1 tablespoon of honey ½ cup of chamomile flowers (Or you can just get chamomile tea from your local grocery store) ½ of a pomegranate

MATERIALS Tea Strainer Tea Pot Tea Cup

DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.

  2. Mix the salt, lime/lemon, & honey into a tea cup.

  3. Put the chamomile flowers into the tea strainer & place into tea cup.

  4. Pour water into tea cup over the tea strainer & let sit for 3 minutes.

  5. Juice the pomegranate into the teacup until your desired taste of sweetness.

  6. Let tea sit for 2 minutes and enjoy!
