Friday Knight Lights: Football games are a huge deal at Ardrey Kell. Every game has a different theme (white out, black out, purple out, country, neon, etc). It’s a great time to socialize and cheer on your school to victory. Dont forget about the student tailgate; before football games take part in this newer tradition. Park in the bus lot before the game, grab a few friends and have fun tailgating.
Spirit Week: Spirit week comes twice a year: the week of homecoming and reverse homecoming. This is your chance to be creative and put together the best outfits based on the given themes.
Go to at least one Homecoming or Sadie Hawkins dance: This is the time to find creative ways of asking whoever you wish! Make a night out of it, dress your best and have a great time dancing with all your friends. Sadies gives girls the opportunity to ask guys, and is another great opportunity to have a good time with your friends.
Go to prom: This is open to all juniors and seniors,so get creative with “promposals!” Or if that’s not really your thing, grab a few friends to go with. The venue is always fantastic, so get ready to have some fun!
Join a club: If you’re looking to get involved at AK, join a club! There is something for everyone. If you can’t find what you want, then start a club. Or run for an officer position in a club of your choice. Most importantly, get involved.
Attend a school production: If you’re interested the arts, there are so many chances for you to see a show; AK has a great theatre department. The honors theatre courses work together to put on a production near December, along with one-act plays, the spring musical, and a spring show.
