Super Snack Ideas Make Game Days Delicious

Game days are popular in American culture, and they are great ways to bring people together. It doesn’t matter if you’re throwing a big party with friends or just staying at home with family to watch a game; great food is a must! Here are some fantastic snack ideas to make the next sporting event an even better experience.

Individual Seven Layer Dip Cups: Perfect for large events. There will be no more fear of double-dipping! Minimum ingredients required for 8 cups: (1) 1 oz. taco seasoning package (Add to taste) (1) 16 oz. refried beans can 2 diced Roma tomatoes (1) 8 oz. container of sour cream 1 cup shredded cheese Tortilla chips 1 can sliced olives 1 cup salsa (Pico de Gallo would be great for consistency) Sliced green onions (no more than half a cup would be needed) 8 mini plastic tumblers (to serve to guests)

Here’s how to make it: Start by mixing taco seasoning and refried beans in a separate bowl. Assemble layers in each tumbler as follows (starting from the bottom): Mix of beans and taco seasoning (2 tablespoons per tumbler) Sour Cream (2 tablespoons) Guacamole (2 tablespoons) Pico De Gallo or Salsa (2 tablespoons) Cheese (2 tablespoons) Tomatoes (1-2 teaspoons) Green Onions/ Olives (1-2 teaspoons)

Add in a tortilla chip and refrigerate! Remember you can always add ingredients to taste.

Summer Corn and Cotija Cheese Dip: Perfect with tortilla chips for big get-togethers.   Ingredients Needed For 4-6 Servings: 2 tbsp. of olive oil Roughly 3 ears of corn (chopped) 1 onion 1 minced clove garlic ½ cup of either sour cream or plain Greek yogurt (depending on taste) ½ package of cream cheese 1 cup of cotija cheese (grated) ¼ tsp. of salt and black pepper

Here’s how to make it: Began by preheating the oven to 375 F. the meantime, prepare a skillet of olive oil, onion and garlic under medium heat. Stir occasionally. Add the mixture of the salt and pepper into the skillet and stir. Cook for roughly 5 minutes before turning stove off. Mix the sour cream, cream cheese and cotija cheese in a large bowl. Make sure to stir and add in the corn into the mixture once this has been done. One tablespoon of olive oil will be needed to grease the skillet on the side so it does not stick when baking. Next, put it in the oven and bake for about 11-13 minutes. Once the dip is cool enough to eat, enjoy!

Oreo Mud Pie: For the cookie lover in you. Filled with entire Oreo, cheesecake, chocolate pudding and whipped topping layers.                                                                                                                                                                         Ingredients Needed For 15 Servings: Any 16-20 oz. package of Oreo cookies will do, plus any extras that can be added as a final touch. These need to be crushed into bits. 4 tablespoons of melted butter 1 oz. package of softened cream cheese 1 cup of powdered sugar 12-16 oz. container of Cool Whip, depending on how much is needed 2 packages of Instant Chocolate Pudding 3 cups of cold milk Roughly 10oz. of Maraschino Cherries (washed and dried)

Here’s How to Make It:                                                                                                                                                                Begin by placing all of the oreo cookies and crushing them well. Scrape out all of the crumbs and icing and insert them into a bowl. Measure out about ½ cup crumbs, and put them aside for now. Add butter to the other cookie crumbs. Mix this and put it into a 9×13” baking dish. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and 8-oz. of the cool whip. Spread this onto the mixture of cookie crumbs. Mix chocolate pudding and milk until thick. (This process may take a few minutes) This may take 3-5 minutes. Spread onto cream cheese layer. Spread remaining cool whip on top of pudding. Sprinkle this with with cookie crumbs and place the maraschino cherries on top. Garnish with additional Oreo cookies for a final touch, if needed. Refrigerate or freeze for at least 6 hours before serving. Enjoy!
