The new iPad Air from Apple has a competitor, and of course, it’s none other than Microsoft. Microsoft has come out with a new tablet called the Surface Pro 3. The specs for the new Surface Pro 3 are good, but shoppers have to be willing to pay a little more money than they would if they were getting an iPad Air. Here is a breakdown of what consumers can expect from these products:
The iPad Air: Weight: 1 lb A7 Processor 9.7-inch screen 16-128 GB $499-$799
The Surface Pro 3: Weight: 1.76 i3,i5,and i7 intel chip 12 inch screen 64-512 GBs Detachable keyboard Stylus (Pen) $799-$1,949
Overall both tablets are solid products. It just depends on what the use of the tablet will be and how much money the consumer wants to spend. The iPad would be cheaper but the Surface Pro 3 comes with accessories that iPad purchasers will have to buy separately. In the end, however, it often boils down to whether the consumer is a “Microsoft or Apple person.”
