Wondering when the Batman v Superman comes out? How about how old Winnie the Pooh will be this year? (You never know, it could be a Jeopardy question.) Check out this brief outlook on 2016.
Politics:
On April 4th, the Bridgegate Trial concerning the scandal involving NJ Governor Chris Christie will be held.
In June of the new year (tentative), England’s Prime Minister David Cameron will decide whether or not the U.K. will continue its membership in the E.U.
A Republican nominee will be chosen in Cleveland in mid-July of 2016.
America’s president will take office on November 8th.
America will begin its steady exodus of soldiers from Afghanistan in hopes of reducing the number deployed to 5,500 by the end of 2016.
Economy:
Unemployment remains at a fairly average level and will continue to flat-line into the new year.
Oil and food prices are low and coupled with increasing wages, Americans can breathe easier knowing that a recession to model 2008’s crisis is unlikely in the very near future.
Interest rates in Europe are increasing which will make American goods pricier. Ultimately, this could put strain on the U.S.’s export industry which hold a sizeable portion of middle-class jobs.
